Meet our Spiritual Directors
All Spiritual Direction offerings at the Artist’s Studio are facilitated by qualified spiritual directors in a safe,
confidential and caring setting. The contemplative, intentional process of speaking and listening that occurs in
spiritual direction can be a powerful catalyst for personal transformation and often brings a profound sense of
soulful nurturing to those who participate.
If you have questions or would like further information, each spiritual director is willing to meet with you
personally to determine whether they are a “good fit” for you and your needs.

Diane Saunders Spiritual Direction for Individuals & Small Groups
Diane Saunders has always found a well of renewal and inspiration through
connecting with the contemplative spiritual tradition. As a young adult, she
discovered a true friend in silence, and as a young mother with a very active family,
she found strength and resilience in solitude. Through Spiritual Direction – the art of
holy listening – Diane responds to the call of adventure toward a rich interior life.
Through small group explorations in The Artist’s Way, she works with others in
mining their rich inner resources and discovering the freedom and joy found in
sharing them with others. Diane has a Bachelors of Science from Arizona State
University in Therapeutic Recreation. She has earned certificates in Ministry from
The Channel Ministry Training Program in Seattle and in Spiritual Direction through
the Arizona Ecumenical Institute for Spiritual Directors. Currently she is working on
a Masters in Education and Theology at Boston College with an emphasis in Total
Community Catechesis. Diane feels most at home in her hiking boots, garden, on
retreat and at her family table sharing a meal and conversation with her husband
Kevin and their five inspiring children.
Fees: $30-40 for individual sessions;
$65 for series of 6 weekly sessions of The Artist’s Way small group
