Shea Darian is a certified multi-faith spiritual director, specializing in small groups
and family spirituality. She is the author of Living Passages for the Whole Family:
Celebrating Rites of Passage from Birth to Adulthood (February 2008), Shea is the
author of Seven Times the Sun: Guiding Your Child through the Rhythms of the Day,
Sanctuaries of Childhood: Nurturing a Child’s Spiritual Life, and Grandpa’s Garden, a
children’s picture book.
Shea earned a BA in Speech and Theater from Iowa State University, a Master of
Divinity degree from Garrett Seminary, and a certificate in Non-Profit Administration
and Community Building from Sunbridge College. She has served as a youth minister,
minister through the arts, minister of worship, and Waldorf school administrator. Shea
is a sacred arts enthusiast, particularly in the area of drama. With her spouse, Andrew,
Shea is an inspired homemaker and the parent of two young adults; she considers her
family her most sacred earthly sanctuary.
