Rev. Sandi Britton, M.Ed., M.Div., AAPC.
Reverend Sandi Britton brings a wealth of experience and credentials to
her ministry career in addition to her personal journey of recovery from
addiction. She has served nationally and internationally in various
capacities including teaching and pastoral care in Tokyo, Japan and
Hong Kong, and parish ministry, pastoral counseling and chaplaincy in
Minnesota and Arizona. Sandi has a Master’s Degree in Educational
Psychology and Measurements from the University of Nebraska, a
Master of Divinity from United Theological Seminary and is nationally
certified as a clinical member of the American Association of Pastoral
Counselors. Her addiction studies training was done at Hazelden
Foundation in Minnesota where she also served as chaplain to adults
and youth. In addition to chemical dependency, she has specialized
training in gambling addiction and women’s issues.
Since her ordination in 1987, Sandi has provided leadership in her
churches, denomination and communities. Currently she is Minister to
the Recovering Community at Scottsdale Congregational United Church
of Christ. Sandi is also pastoral consultant to ACT – Counseling and
Education, an outpatient treatment center for chemical dependency and
gambling. In her private practice, she provides professional ministry
services to clients, churches and ecumenical agencies in the community.
In addition to her professional ministry, Sandi provides leadership in
various capacities to SCUCC and is serving on the Justice and Witness
Committee of the Southwest Conference, United Church of Christ.
In gratitude for her personal journey of recovery and her academic and
professional background in addiction, Sandi is passionate about serving
the recovering community. Her goal is to provide quality spiritual care
and counseling through various modalities. She is also very interested
in building a bridge between the 12 Step Community and the Church.
