Sarah Hessinger- Webmaster and Alumni Artist in Residence
Sarah is a full time artist born in Tampa, FL. She was raised in California most of her life. She
graduated with a BFA in Fine Arts from Cal State University of Long Beach in 2005.
Sarah is an emerging artist, and her art work can be found in private collections in California,
Florida, Arizona and New York. Her collectors remark that her art "explores the true essence of
that moment" and "has a unanswered question that draws you back".

Shea Darian- Coordinator of Spiritual Direction
Shea is a certified multi-faith spiritual director, author, parent educator, dramatist, singer
and mother of two grown children. She is the author of Living Passages for the Whole
Family: Celebrating Rites of Passage from Birth to Adulthood; Seven Times the Sun:
Guiding Your Child Through the Rhythms of the Day; and Sanctuaries of Childhood:
Nurturing a Child’s Spiritual Life. Shea received a BA in Theater from Iowa State University
and a Master of Divinity degree from Garrett Seminary in Evanston , IL .

Julie Brokken- The Artists Cottage Coordinator
Julie is a full time artist who brings a unique vision to The Artist’s Cottage. Her
strong arts education, studio, and exhibition background blend with her
‘assemblage’ of other work experiences ~ library reference, therapeutic massage,
retail, and organic gardening. All this and Julie is a farmer’s daughter t’ boot ~ a
custom fit for the missions of The Farm and The Artist’s Studio at The Farm.
