Artist Statement: "Painting for me is
a wonderful journey, an opportunity to
be immersed in the subtle beauty of
nature. Whatever the subject matter,
the elements of shape, color, texture
and edges are the language of painting.
For me, painting is balancing thinking
and feeling, discovering what
is true and trusting in my own
intuition and my natural surroundings
in both a deliberate and intuitive way,
to let them emerge on canvas."

Biography: Barbara has a Fine Arts degree
from Loyola Marymount University &
Arizona State University. She has studied
under various landscape & figurative artists
including: T. Allen Lawson, Mark Daily, Matt
Smith, Lemler & Sherri McGraw. She is
honored to be the recipient of the Plein Air
Painters of America Award, received an award
in Oil Painting at the Best & Brightest Show &
has received various other awards. She has
exhibited at many local & national shows in
Santa Fe, Sedona, Tucson & Cincinnati and is
currently exhibiting at Rich Designs Gallery in
Colorado.
