Barbara Schoepf "Painting for me is a wonderful journey,
an opportunity to be immersed in the subtle beauty of nature.
Whatever the subject matter, the elements of shape, color,
texture and edges are the language of painting. For me,
painting is balancing thinking and feeling, discovering what is
true and trusting in one's own intuition and inspiration. My
intent is to reflect the absorption of my natural surroundings in
both a deliberate and intuitive way, to let them emerge on
canvas."
Barbara has a Fine Arts degree from Loyola Marymount
University and Arizona State University. She loves learning
and has continued her education by studying under various
landscape and figurative artists including T.Allen Lawson,
Mark Daily, Matt Smith, Skip Whitcomb, Scott Christensen,
Robert Lemler and Sherri McGraw. Barbara is an Artists
member of The Arizona Plein Air Painters Society and the
Tucson Plein Air Painters Society. She is honored to be the
recipient of the Plein Air Painters of America Award, received
an award in Oil Painting at the Best and Brightest Show and has
received various other awards. She has exhibited at many local
